Associate Consultant focusing on brand/marketing managment and youth development

A business professional with over 15 years of brand, marypw-3eketing and sales management experience, Peik Wan has worked with several local and multi-national organizations, namely Royal Selangor International, and the highly dynamic FMCG businesses in Kimberly-Clark Malaysia, Danone Malaysia/Singapore, Kraft Malaysia/Singapore and Kellogg Southeast Asia.

With a strong foundation in brand and marketing management, Peik Wan’s portfolio of skills include driving consumer insights and research to support brand building strategies, driving appropriate marketing mix within the FMCG industry, and building long term relationships with consumers and business partners through innovative programmes. Some significant milestones include building brand image through strategic marketing & PR campaigns, developing innovation workshops, and implementing major campaigns via efficient project management planning processes. In the span of her career, she has worked with persons from different cultures and managed cross-functional teams. This has opened up many opportunities to develop her strategic leadership and consultative skills. Her experiences have provided her with the business acumen and communication skills to facilitate trainings and workshops.

In the last 5 years, Peik Wan has developed an interest in engaging and educating children/youths in both profit and non-profit organizations. She is a freelance Marketing and Communications lecturer in Petaling Jaya. She has also worked independently with NGOs as a volunteer to advocate child rights, teach refugee children basic English and engaged with communities to experience cultural diversity.

An MBA graduate from Heriot-Watt University Scotland and a Bachelor of Business graduate from University of Southern Queensland Australia, Peik Wan is easy-going, creative and resourceful, with excellent communication and organizational skills. An enthusiastic ‘surfer’, she enjoys surfing the digital highway to explore and experience knowledge.

 Mentoring and coaching undergraduate students to plan, develop and organise Advocacy and Marketing Campaigns via project-based learning methods (PBL) with partner NGOs/ commercial organisations.
 Developing students’ soft skills via experiential learning approaches and techniques.
 Creating Marketing Communications and PR teaching and assessment framework to monitor progress and evaluate projects.
 Developing organisations’ strategic brand and advocacy management focusing on youths and families
 Managing idea generation and concept development to deliver Innovative solutions
